Subproject A03 — Securitization and dynastic marriage politics
second funding stage (2018-2021)
The subproject aims at a comprehensive and systematic analysis of Early Modern dynastic politics with the focus on securitization. Dynastic politics drew attention to central security problems, but at the same time seemed to contribute to their solution. The focus is on the reciprocal relationship between princely succession and security of the state, which is divided in three work-projects ([1] creation of a comprehensive digital database on Early Modern dynastic marriage politics, [2] safeguard of sucession in domestic and international law, [3] female succession and dynastic politics).
